Ingredients of Oil free Nachos Corn chips
- You need 2 cups of cornmeal or makkai aata.
- Prepare 1/4 cup of Wheat flour.
- Prepare 2 teaspoon of mixed herbs.
- Prepare 2 tablespoon of melted butter.
- Prepare to taste of Salt.
- Prepare As needed of Lukewarm water.
Oil free Nachos Corn chips step by step
- Take 2 cups of makkai aata and 1/4th cup of wheat flour.
- Add mixed herbs and salt as per your taste.
- Mix the dry ingredients and then slowly add lukewarm water and make dough out of it..
- The dough has to be like paratha dough. Let the dough rest for 30 mins..
- Then divide the dough into equal parts. Roll the roti as thin as possible. Take a lid or any sharp edged plate and place on roti to give an exact round shape to the roti. Now prick the entire roti with fork to avoid any bubbles. Then melt the butter and lightly brush on the rotis to ensure they stay moist. Applying butter is an optional step..
- Preheat your khakhra maker. Once the machine is hot, place the nacho roti in the machine and close it..Let it cook for around 30 seconds and then flip the roti 2-3 times after around cooking for around 10 seconds each time..
- Leave it open for around 7-8 minutes. Break in small pieces and store in an air tight container. Now you can enjoy the crispy oil free nachos/ corn chips with salsa, cheese sauce, add in your burrito bowl or just enjoy it as is with your evening chai guilt free..
- I tried this on tava as well like making a khakhra on tava..it was quite crispy. Do try!!!.
